Father Steven Boes
Father
Steven Boes is the son of Eugene and Mary (Nepple) Boes and great
great grandson of Gerhard and Anna (Nieland)
Boes. A native of Carroll, Iowa, Father Boes was raised in Elgin,
Nebraska. He holds degrees in sociology, systematic theology and
divinity from St. Thomas College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a degree
in counseling from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

In 2005 Father Boes was appointed
Executive Director of Boys
and Girls Town, one of the largest, nonprofit, nonsectarian
direct care children's organizations in the country, that was founded
in 1917 by Father Edward J. Flanagan. Boys and Girls Town provides
direct care through youth care and health care services to more
than 43,000 children. More

Previously Father Steven Boes was pastor of St. Augustine
Parish and director of St. Augustine Indian Mission in Winnebago,
Nebraska. He was honored in February, 2002 by Creighton University
with the second annual Archbishop Daniel E. Sheehan Award in recognition
of his service to society, to the Church, and to education.
